i am all too aware of how long it has been since my last post.

i’ve been working out how to this site will need to change to adapt to my requirements and well, change is coming.

and as soon as i get a chance to sit down with my dear friends who help me maintain this site. this shouldn’t take too long now. :D

the basic idea of erratic light is clear and now the implementation and site re-design will come into play.

yay! it’s spring and everything looks more awesome since there’s light…like..this birdhouse here…umm. :D

so, it’s finally 2011. not bad. 2010 was pretty cool, in all, however, i have a feeling that this year will bring cool things. :D

i noticed that i have not posted panorama-pictures yet. here’s one i took at the golden gate near san francisco.

after a long delay since my last post, i thought today would be a good day to do something about it. :D

this is a door in rome, on one of the seven hills, i am not sure which one it is though. i’m actually not sure whether it has been opened at all in recent decades, but something about it caught my eye and i thought that i would share it! don’t be like this boarded-up door. it looks nice, but that’s about it…

poetic, no? :D

i really have no idea what this building is doing on top of this bridge.  taken last summer on our road trip, this strange bridge (next a semi-permanent small trailer park), located near Coos Bay, Oregon, the only place I have feared for my life since I was mugged in St. Petersburg, Russia in the early 2000′s!  Strangely enough, sometimes fact is more fun than fiction and so it appears to be in this case too. :D

I apologize to the occasional visitor for the lapse in posting. I intend to remedy this from now on.

although this picture is not sharp, is shaken and otherwise not entirely descriptive of many things, i tend to like it.  the motion at the beach at sunset, when i took this picture was very deliberate and contemplative, almost. very soothing.

this picture is from the citadel of alexandria. very cool place to visit, only perhaps, not in july. :D

i suppose sometimes light can be erratic? who knows…anyhow, now that i’m done being on hiatus, here’s a picture from the delightful Meena Hotel Oberoi in Cairo, Egypt. It is probably not the most descriptive image to date of this prestigious institution, however, it is my favorite picture i took from there.

this is a picture i took at the stable we visit for horse riding lessons.  :D

b/w because it’s more fun this way and also because it conveys a more intense feel of the light and dust hit by the sunlight.

i can’t help it. b/w is cool, but split tone is cooler.

this is my attempt at a “film-noir”-kinda thing…it turned out a bit more grungy than i would have thought possible and a tad more washed out than i’ve tried before!
